2015 Gainesville Downtown Blues Concert Headlined by Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues

GAINESVILLE, FL – The North Central Blues Society’s free Gainesville Downtown Blues Concert will be held on Friday, November 13 at Parking Lot 10, and will feature Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues, 2015 International Blues Challenge semifinalist The Bridget Kelly Band, and renowned acoustic artist Barbara Paul. Headliner Mac Arnold, who has played with Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, and James Brown, is gaining recognition for his band Plate Full O’ Blues and their very entertaining shows.

Mac Arnold was nominated for best Traditional Blues Male Artist at the 2012 Blues Music Awards. He also headlined the Brick City Blues Festival in 2013 to rave reviews.

Jazz Now said Arnold has “one of the most original voices in Blues” and All Music Guide called him “one remaining virtual Blues goldmine”.

The North Central Florida Blues Society has been providing a free Blues concert exhibiting the finest in national touring acts and top-notch local Blues performers to kick off the highly acclaimed Downtown Festival & Art Show since 2005.
