MEMPHIS, TN – Blind Raccoon is delighted to announce the line-up for their showcases happening during the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. On January 27, 28 and 29, from noon to 5pm, 12 acts from Arizona, Canada, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, Missouri (St. Louis & Kansas City), Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin will grace the stage. Seven of these acts are participating in the 2016 IBC.
The showcases will be held at the Purple Haze Nightclub, 140 Lt George W Lee Ave, Memphis, Tennessee. $5 donation request at door. Net proceeds from the showcases will benefit The Blues Foundation’s HART Fund, which provides assistance to blues musicians and their families in times of great financial need due to medical emergencies.
Emcees are Peter “Blewzzman” Lauro of Mary4Music.com on Wednesday, Jonathan “Oogie” Richards, host of Mighty Mouth Blues, NWCZ Radio, on Thursday, and Brett Fleming, host of Soul Stew, WEVL/Memphis, on Friday.
