(Guerneville, CA) – The Russian River Jazz & Blues Festival is celebrating 40 years of bringing word-class musicians to the picturesque river town in Guerneville, California! The two-day festival will take place on September 10th & 11th, 2016 at Johnson’s Beach & Resort, a beautiful venue surrounded by California Redwoods.

Headlining the Blues Day on Sunday, September 11th will be guitar slinger Jonny Lang and blues storyteller Keb’ Mo’! Plus, Blues Hall of Famer Bobby Rush, Moreland and Arbuckle, Nikki Hill and many others!
For the last 40 years, music festivals have been a vital part of the Russian River community, and the Russian River Jazz & Blues Festival now ranks amongst the oldest music festivals in North America, alongside groundbreaking events like the Newport Folk Festival and Monterey Jazz Festival – and voted Best Music Festival in Sonoma County by the readers of the North Bay Bohemian.

Music fans can enjoy two stages of jazz, blues & roots music, wine tasting, dancing, a variety of arts & crafts vendors, an eclectic food court, and partying on the river with friends – all jam-packed into one unforgettable weekend!
