Alabama Blues Project

TUSCALOOSA, AL – The Alabama Blues Project is celebrating 20 years of blues programming! Our program started with a handful of children at the Boy’s and Girl’s club. Today, our award winning programs are taught to thousands each year all over the state of Alabama by accomplished musicians.

At least 80% of our children are considered at-risk. Our programs are open to the entire community and have been awarded the National Coming Up Taller Award by the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities and a Keeping the Blues Alive Award from the Blues Foundation.

While most programs are funded partially from grants, we still depend on your help to continue providing quality music programs to underserved children. Thousands of children are now experiencing quality lessons in Blues music and Alabama Blues history. Without our programming, many of these children would not have music education.

If you have any questions about our current programs, I would be happy to talk with you. Our office number is (205) 752-6263. The Alabama Blues Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Alabama Blues Project’s tax ID number is 63-1265205.

Sincerely,

Paula Demonbreun
