Blind Raccoon & Nola Blue

(Memphis, TN) – Blind Raccoon (the music marketing firm based in Memphis) and Nola Blue (record label, artist management/consulting service and certified social media marketing provider) are delighted to announce the line-up for their showcase taking place during the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.

On January 17, 18-19, from noon to 5pm, 14 acts from NY, NJ, TX, TN, CA, DC, WA, OK and OR grace the stage of the Purple Haze Nightclub, downtown Memphis. The showcase artists are a smorgasbord of roots and blues talent playing the gamut of styles from blues/rock to acoustic blues with Americana, folk, soul, R&B in the mix for good measure. Four of the acts are participating in the 2018 IBC – Likho Duo (Long Island Blues Society), Kathy & The Kilowatts (Austin Blues Society), Patty Reese & Dave Chappell (DC Blues Society) and Joyride (Blues Society of Tulsa). Five of the artists’ albums have been submitted by their society for 2018 Best Self-Produced CD – Likho Duo, Antry, Kathy & The Kilowatts, Patty Reese and Stacy Jones Band.

Sixty-year blues music veteran, Benny Turner, will be at the showcase on Wednesday and Friday from 2:30-4:30pm to sign copies of his acclaimed new autobiography, Survivor ~ The Benny Turner Story, written collaboratively with Chicago music historian Bill Dahl.

In addition to various giveaways, showcase attendees will have a chance to win valuable offerings, including a Blind Raccoon Promotion Package, a Publicity and Promotion Consult, a Social Media Consult, an Artist Management Consult and a One-Song Recording Session with Benny Turner.

Net proceeds from the showcases will benefit The Blues Foundation’s HART Fund, which provides assistance to blues musicians and their families in times of great financial need due to medical emergencies.

Emcees are Peter “Blewzzman” Lauro of Mary4Music.com on Wednesday, blues/roots musician, Dave Muskett, on Thursday, and Brett Fleming, host of Soul Stew, WEVL/Memphis, on Friday.
