BETHLEHEM, PA – At Blast Furnace Blues, March 27-29 at SteelStacks in Bethlehem, PA, blues aficionados and photography buffs will have a chance to unite their passions through the PHOTOPASS concert photography workshop. PHOTOPASS is a unique opportunity to learn the ins and outs of concert photography with Brian Hineline, who has shot hundreds of concerts over the past 15 years for Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Time Magazine and more. PHOTOPASS students will use their newfound skills to photograph Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, John Nemeth & The Bo-Keys and more at Blast Furnace Blues.

On March 28, PHOTOPASS participants will take part in a 90-minute workshop from 3:30 to 5 p.m. where they will learn tips and techniques from veteran photographer Brian Hineline. Then, they’ll head over to Blast Furnace Blues to shoot the stars while enjoying special media access to prime photography spots, including the soundboard, located 30 feet from the stage.

Blast Furnace Blues will feature performances by two-time GRAMMY nominee Shemekia Copeland, multiple Blues Music Award and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year winner Tommy Castro, the Heritage Blues Orchestra, John Nemeth & The Bo-Keys and more.

All proceeds from this PHOTOPASS concert photography workshop benefit ArtsQuest’s Arts Programming Fund, which helps to support the 700 free concerts at Musikfest and SteelStacks, as well as ArtsQuest’s educational programming for young people.

PHOTOPASS workshop registration includes one ticket per student to Blast Furnace Blues. Register for the PHOTOPASS Blast Furnace Blues workshop at www.steelstacks.org
