WASHINGTON, D.C. – First Lady Michelle Obama presented the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award (NAHYP) to Delta Blues Museum and the Delta Blues Museum Band in a White House ceremony Monday November 10. Accepting the award were Delta Blues Museum Executive Director Shelley Ritter and the DBM Band.

The NAHYP Award recognizes community based organizations that develop learning and life skills in young people by educating and engaging them through arts or humanities youth programs.
