INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Just Plain Folks Music Awards are celebrating their 30th year! Their deadline to enter the 2015/2016 Just Plain Folks Music Awards is near. The postmark entry deadline for music released between 2010-2014 has been extended to December 5th, 2015, however they will continue accepting 2015 music releases until Monday, January 11, 2016. All genres are welcome! Entry is free. The criteria for judging is, “Does it move me?”

A “release” date simply means the date you made your music available for sale. If you have never previously made a particular song or full album of songs available for sale, your deadline to enter that music is January 11th, 2016.

To enter your music, simply send a CD or CDR with your songs and/or full album. Do not send separate CDR discs for each individual song. Please combine them on one or more CDR’s as needed. They do not accept digital entries.
If you are sending a CDR or your packaged CD and the label doesn’t include pertinent info, write the contact info (name, artist or band, album name and email address) on the label very neatly with a Sharpie. In addition, include a single sheet of paper with your contact info, track #’s and song titles, writing credits and band/artist name[3], preferably typed.
