Dave Claytor started pulling musicians and those who love to listen to them together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the first Blues Festival in 1995 when he was still in Tallahassee, Fla. as the owner of Dave’s CC Club. When Claytor and his wife Elizabeth came to Chester, they brought the idea of a blues festival to commemorate the legacy of the slain civil rights leader to their 2nd Thursday Blues revitalization efforts.
