(STURBRIDGE, MA) – May 18th is not that far away! Going into our third year, The New England Blues Summit has always strived to bring you 3 days of fun, blues music and friendship, with all the amenities. No sleeping in a tent for this one. This is not an outdoor festival. The Summit offers weekend packages that have you covered. Held at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center in Sturbridge, MA, our Weekend Packages come in many configurations suited to all budgets that include room, food and tickets for the days you attend.

We are very excited for this year’s event. It’s not too far away and now would be the perfect time to buy your tickets if you live close or if you want to stay for one or two nights look into our weekend packages. There’s still time to make use of our deposit options and split the cost of a weekend package into two payments and good news, we’ve extended the final payment date to April 15th so there’s plenty of time to go big!

Look at our package deals if you would like to split the cost into two payments.

For our weekend-package guests we strive to bring you all the comforts at a great price. Everything is included except alcohol. Sorry about that. You literally can park your car on Friday and not get back in it until it is time to go home. Oh, and if you want to extend your stay, you can add Sunday night accommodations as well. There’s plenty of amazing New England sites in Sturbridge and if you need a break from all the festivities there is plenty of classic “New England” in the area. Many folks add the Sunday night accommodations and use Monday for this.

For entertainment we bring you two evening concerts with national acts and this year on Friday we have Laith Al-Saadi, 2016 finalist on The Voice opening for Mike Welch and Mike Ledbetter. On Saturday we bring you Mr. Sipp, The Mississippi Blues Child opening for the Sugaray Rayford Band. That is hardly the extent of it though. We will have some award winning local bands performing as well. I’ll run you though those events now; On Friday afternoon we have our Summit welcome reception featuring the Mighty Soul Drivers from Connecticut. Friday during dinner we will have Jim Perry performing for our catered dinner guests and then a little chill time before the evening’s main events. Saturday at Noon we will have Carrie & the Cats performing followed by Cheryl Arena and Danielle Miraglia performing at 3:30pm. Cheryl and Danielle will perform again for our Saturday dinner guests and then a little time before the main events at 7:30pm. On top of all that we have a youth showcase that runs from 2pm till 5pm featuring some very talented up and comers in the local music scene such as Alex Simpson, Baxter Hall, Nolan Leite and more. We also present a blues panel discussion running from Noon till 2pm. Sunday we have two very special events. Our Weekend Package guests have brunch with Racky Thomas and the Traveling Medicine Revival Show Band. This is such a hit we have had Racky Thomas back every year of the Summit. Later in the afternoon we have our farewell jam in the lounge featuring Mrs. Toni Lynn Washington, Sam Gentile, Bruce Bears and who knows what other performers will stop by.

Let’s talk a little bit about the resort. This year’s Summit takes place at the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center in Sturbridge, MA. The Sturbridge Host is a beautiful resort with many amenities including restaurants and lounge, exercise & game rooms, indoor pool and more. Sturbridge MA puts you smack dab in the middle if “New England” and is a great location for people coming from New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont. Near the venue is Old Sturbridge Village which is probably the quintessential New England stop in the state and will be open for business during the weekend of our event. Consider adding Sunday night accommodations to a weekend package and do some sightseeing after the event.

That really covers the event. If the Blues is your thing and you want to make the memory of a lifetime I hope you’ll join us this May. Ask anyone who has been and you’ll find nothing but glowing reviews. This is one of the most unique music events around. Our weekend package covers everything you’ll need and is the best value for the event. Please check it out on our website and we hope to see you this year!
