(MEMPHIS,TN) – The Blues Foundation established the COVID-19 Blues Musician Emergency Relief Fund to assist professional blues musicians whose primary source of income is paid performance and whose household, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, has lost all means of income for the foreseeable future. This fund has been established for the sole purpose of providing EMERGENCY relief and will only cover those basic necessities required to live

Musicians in need of financial assistance due to circumstances or event cancellations that occurred prior to the coronavirus pandemic are not eligible to apply. Neither are individuals whose primary musical form is not blues and/or who do not depend upon performance revenue as their major source of income.
