(MEMPHIS, TN) – The Blues Hall of Fame Museum is hosting several special events on Wednesday, January 29 that are all open to the public.

At noon, enjoy conversation and more as the Blues Foundation hosts Blues Music Award winner and GRAMMY® Award nominee Janiva Magness for a book signing of her new autobiography, Weeds Like Us.

At 3:15pm, a Women of the Blues Photo Exhibit and Reception will be held. It’s the Grand Opening of the newest exhibit in the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise Gallery, Women of the Blues, a photography collection curated by Lynn Orman Weiss. The collection is a sampling of blues women of all ages and backgrounds who represent a broad spectrum of blues and who have been captured by photographers from around the world. Light food and beverage will be served. 

From 2pm-3pm it’s Music Across Borders presented by Canada Consulate General. Moderated by Leigh Shockey, panelists include Shakura S’aida, Bruce Morel, Rick Booth, and Robert Mauries discuss the international reach of blues music and how music moves across borders.
