(RENTIESVILLE, OK) – On May 5 the Memorial Mini Fest will commemorate the contribution of the late D.C. Minner to the blues with a celebration of his life, music and legacy. 8 bands will play and many will perform some of his original tunes as a tribute at The Rentiesville Blues Club, home of the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame.
Every Sunday is an open Jam Session at The Rentiesville Blues Club starting at 4 pm. Come see each other and jam “complimentary, customized and for a limited time only” – as in thru the summer season. Musicians bring your axe… we will get you up!
The Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame also announces it’s 2018 Inductees and on May 26th there will be a celebration in Rentiesville of this state’s blues tradition… and indeed it is a rich one. A record number of 11 artists with strong roots in the State of OK, will be honored with music, trophies, bar-b-que and a good time at D.C. Minner’s time-worn juke joint. Present to celebrate the new inductees will be several artists and OK Blues Hall of Famers – Leon Rollerson, Miss Blues, Selby Minner, Harold Aldridge and more. The Castle of Muskogee and the Bank of Eufaula are supplying trophies and more! Thanks!
