National Blues Museum

(ST. LOUIS, MO) – Join the folks at the National Blues Museum (NBM) in St. Louis, Missouri at their ‘Sitting on the Porch’ Thursday night jam sessions, from 6pm – 9pm. These events are just that – jam sessions – where musicians can just show up and join in the fun.

NBM volunteer Jesse Lopez will be running the jam session museum! It’s free to attend, just bring your own gear. The jam is Sponsored by the Missouri Arts Council.

The National Blues Museum explores and preserves the historical significance of the Blues as the foundation of American music, celebrates the genre’s various styles and recognizes the musicians who created, sustain and continue to advance the art form.

Located adjacent to the America’s Center convention complex in downtown St. Louis, the interactive National Blues Museum features a collection of technology- and artifact-driven exhibits that explore the Blues and celebrate the genre as the foundation of all modern American music. The museum is within walking distance of a variety of attractions including the Gateway Arch, Busch Stadium, and Laclede’s Landing. The National Blues Museum is organized as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) Missouri corporation and is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
