While times and money are tight, our Blues Audience readers and subscribers are active club-going music lovers. Choosing winners is never easy considering the vast amount of talent we have here in New England, but they took the time to cast their votes by mail and email to show their support for the N.E. blues bands, clubs, and festivals they have enjoyed over the year.
It goes without saying that we appreciate you and your bands, working tirelessly to provide the N.E. area with the highest quality blues. I am never surprised to see that many of the musicians who record and perform are extremely talented.
We are fortunate to have so much talent here in N.E. as well as some of the most loyal and dedicated blues fans in the country. The people have spoken, and according to their comments, most are from Massachusetts, closely followed by New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, and a few from Vermont and Maine. All my readers have traveled to distant places to your performances and tell me about the great shows they have seen. Not only does it put a smile on my face, but it reinforces my resolve to continue to publish the newsletter in support of the N. E. blues scene. The fact that they have it in their hands a week before the beginning of the month advertised gives them time to plan ahead and get to these shows.
And the winners for the 16th annual Blues Audience readers poll for 2013 are...
