Posted: October 24, 2013

Word of Mouth Productions is pleased to announce our lineup of performers for Columbia’s 19th Annual Blues Festival as WOMP presents a day of free live music in Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park (H Near Five Points 2300 Greene St., Columbia, SC 29205), noon to 10 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013.

This year’s concert will include a tribute to the legendary Frank Smoak, along with unforgettable performances by these spectacular regional and national acts: Danielle Howle, Andrew Scotchie & The River Rats, Mill Billy Blues, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Tommy Malone and the long-awaited return of festival favorite Sonny Landreth (pictured here)! We’ll also host a special appearance by USC School of Music’s The Dixieland Codgers!

Along with great music, annual camaraderie, and food and drink concessions the MLK Park atmosphere offers a blend
of diversity and multi-generational grace. Take advantage of our new guest survey and enter a drawing to win a one-of-kind guitar signed by our performers! As always chairs, blankets, and pets are welcome at this unique event. No tickets needed so come on down and help us Shake the Blues! You do not want to miss this exciting day of FREE music!

Concession sales help keep this concert free (food/beverages available – no coolers, please). Generously Supported by the City of Columbia
