Intrepid artist Jimmy Carpenter is a GRAMMY and Blues Music Award-winning
saxophonist, singer, songwriter, arranger, bandleader and wearer of many
musical hats. Based in Las Vegas, NV, Jimmy, aka the “Soul Doctor,” is also New Festivals
the talent buyer and musical director for the Big Blues Bender, leader of the
Bender Brass Band and president of the Las Vegas Blues Society, as well as a
recording artist at Gulf Coast Records. A festival fan favorite, Jimmy is known
as a recognizable, reliable figure in the industry. Here he is at the Tampa
Bay Blues Festival. “Basically,” Intrepid exclaims, “he’s an all-around bad ass!” added daily!
