9. To the pasta, add the clam sauce and some chopped
parsley and fresh basil. Toss with a pasta utensil. I keep the
stove on while doing this, so it stays warm. There should
be enough liquid; if not, use a little of the clam broth, but
you don’t want it to be too soupy.
10. Serve in a nice pasta bowl. Arrange the littleneck clams
on top of the pasta with sauce, and top with a little
chopped parsley, chives or scallions, or fresh basil. Have
some really good crusty bread ready… you’ll want to dip
the bread in it!
