Lawrence Lebo is classic Old School Blues! In the title track of her sixth release Old School Girl Lebo writes “I’m an Old School Girl from head to toe” … and indeed she is! From the sultry wail of “You’ve Got A Secret” to the flirty laid-back groove of “Give Me A Try,” Lawrence delves deep into soul-blues territory reminiscent of the classic Stax records style.
Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, Ms. Lebo has been awarded Best Blues Singer in the prestigious LA Weekly-Best of L.A. annual edition. Best known for her Don’t Call Her Larry trilogy, Old School Girl is her sixth studio album. Released on August 17, 2018, Old School Girl has already began charting and receiving critical praise.
