(BROWNSVILLE, TN) – The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center will once again showcase the Women In Blues at the 8th annual Exit 56 Blues Fest with a full day of female performers on Sunday, May 27. The festival, presented from the porch of the last home of blues legend Sleepy John Estes, will showcase two full days of blues performances at Interstate 40 at Exit 56, is hosted by N Da Kno’s Jazzii A, an entertainment industry veteran that has toured with Bobby Rush.
“We’ve got an incredible line-up of ladies who are pioneers on the blues scene both in the delta and around the globe,” says Executive Director Sonia Outlaw-Clark. “This showcase includes artist who have performed on the David Letterman Show and Conan O’Brien. They’ve been immortalized on the Beale Street Walk of Fame, in memorabilia cases at The Hard Rock Cafes in Memphis and Pittsburg, garnered numerous Blues Music Award nominations and shared the stage with acts like U2, Bon Jovi and Huey Lewis and the News.
