(MEMPHIS, TN) – Seven years and counting! It’s Big LLou’s 7th Annual Blues Hall of Fame Tribute Jam and Dance Wed, May 8th, 2019 at the Jerry Lee Lewis Honky Tonk & Café (310 Beale St., Memphis, Tennessee). “The Blues After Party with a Purpose,” a not to be missed, star studded Blues experience! Join us as Blues Hall of Fame Inductees and Blues Music Award nominees pay tribute to the musicians and music inducted into this year’s class of the Blues Hall of Fame.

Celebrate with “Blues Legends” and network with the industry’s top talent and decision makers. Fundraising efforts will benefit “The Blues Hall of Fame’s Generation Blues and The GoldenVoice Audio Foundation’s” charity youth initiatives.

Performing artists include Blues Hall of Famers Latimore and Joe Louis Walker; BMA Nominees Billy Branch,  Kevin Burt, Annika Chambers, Thornetta Davis, Trudy Lynn and Billy Price; 2019 IBC Winner Ms. Hy-C; 2018 IBC Winner the Keeshea Pratt Band; Memphis’ own Fuzzy Jeffries, Terrence “Sweet T” Grayson; Jam Host Mark “LA” Smith; and featuring 2017 BMA Nominee Terrie Odabi.

Event Hosts are Big LLou Johnson of B.B. Kings BluesVille on Sirius XM and Bill Wax of WPFW 89.3FM. Doors, Jam and Dance at 7pm and show at 8pm. Ticket Prices are $20-$150.

This year’s theme is “Hole in the Wall, as the event features two live stages on level one and dancing to old school “basement” blues music on level two. Celebrity Memphis Blues DJ “Wild Bill” Williams will be manning the turntables.

In addition to paying tribute to 2019 BHOF inductees Booker T & The MG’s, Count Basie, Pee Wee Crayton, Moe Asch and Ida Cox, the event will honor Aretha Franklin’s induction with a special performance by the current Blues Music Award Nominees and the 2019 and 2018 International Blues Challenge winners. There is also an auction of a custom painted guitar and other blues themed, one-of-a-kind items.

Big LLou Johnson, the event producer and president of The GoldenVoice Audio Foundation, is himself a Blues Music Award winner, Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee and is heard daily as the voice host of B.B. Kings Bluesville on Sirius XM’s Channel 74. The Foundation has raised over $50,000 in support of organizations and artists that perform the blues!
