MISSION VIEJO, CA – In keeping with the Spirit of the Season, the band Bluespower will host a special holiday show to benefit the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Wednesday, December 23, at Costello’s (formerly Garmans), 27657 Perta Rd., Mission Viejo from 7-10 pm. Donations are requested. There will also be a raffle with special prizes and a silent auction.

“This (benefit show) is in remembrance of my aunt, who was instrumental in me playing music”, states Kenny “Big Daddy” Williams, who fronts Bluespower on guitar and lead vocals. “She died at a young age of leukemia, which they now have a cure for. We want to continue helping the research to make it possible for children to survive such a devastating cancer by bringing together some of my most giving friends,” concludes Williams, who also hosts a new weekly Jam Session each Wednesday night at Costello’s.

Special guests scheduled to perform on include: Papa J, blues harpist extraordinaire and President of the Orange County Blues Society, with guitarist Richard Hassebrock; Richie Onori, longtime SoCal musician and drummer for multi-platinum group, Sweet; Bill Grisolia, frontman for New Blues Revolution and founder of the yearly New Blues Festival; talented female blues guitarist-vocalist, Peach, Mick Adams, who fronts top tribute band, Mick Adams and the Stones; and more TBA.
