Mississippi Valley Blues Festival

(EAST MOLINE, IL) – Since 1985, the award-winning Mississippi Valley Blues Festival has been considered by many festival goers and major blues magazines to be among the top blues festivals in the country. The long-standing location of Le Claire Park in Davenport is not an option this year due to the record-breaking flood of 2019. However, the show must go on and Murphy Park at The Bend in East Moline, Illinois has many of the same elements that give the festival that decidedly downhome and non-commercial feel that lets fest-goers sit back, relax, and enjoy an incredible lineup of Blues. There will be music on two stages and Blues fans enjoying the breeze off the Mississippi River. Gates open at 4pm Friday, July 5th and noon Saturday, July 6th.

The lineup includes: Tab Benoit, Samantha Fish, North Mississippi All-Stars, Victor Wainwright, Ronnie Baker Brooks, and more. Enjoy 15 Bands, BluesKool for kids and adults, a variety of vendors, and an awesome after-fest jam on Saturday night.

The list of past and present Fest performers is a virtual Who’s Who of the Blues. The Mississippi Valley Blues Society takes pride in the number of performers who were first introduced to Mississippi Valley Blues Festival attendees as young and up-and-coming musicians, and have returned years later as headliners. From legends to rising stars, you will see it all at the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival.
