M.C. Records Celebrates Black History Month with Playlist
(NORTHPORT, NY) – M.C. Records has curated a special 15 song playlist for Black History Month from its current releases. President of the label Mark Carpentieri said, “We are celebrating our 30th anniversary this year and we wanted to share a special playlist for Black History Month. We are humbled and honored to work with such an amazing array of talented artists over the years.”

The BHM playlist includes Odetta, Marie Knight, Toshi Reagon, Guy Davis and The Blind Boys of Alabama, Big Jack Johnson, Mavis Staples, The Lee Boys, Pinetop Perkins, Ruth Brown, Sherman Holmes, Catherine Russell, and Cyril Neville. You can listen on Spotify.

Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating Black history.
