(RENO, NV) The Reno Blues Society’s annual Mardi Gras with California Blues Hall of Famers the Delta Wires will be held Saturday, February 18th at the Ramada in Reno, Nevada. This always fun event will also feature a silent auction fundraiser with lots of great items to benefit the non-profit’s local causes. Tickets are available for $30 at the website or at the door. They expect a full house for this event so better get to it!

Doors and the no-host bar will open at 7pm with the Delta Wires and dancing from 7:30-10:15pm’ish. Festive and colorful attire is encouraged. You’ll be gifted with beads at the door.

This event’s proceeds will benefit the Reno Blues Society’s sponsorship of free summer Tuesday Bluesdays at Palisades Tahoe and the RBS music grant program for local school kids. Among the great items on the auction table, there will be a 2023-2024 Palisades season ski pass, generous gift certificates to the Peppermill and Atlantis, a guitar and much more!

This will be the Delta Wires third appearance at an RBS event and it happens to be a CD release event for them, as well, (see CD Releases this issue). They will have their new CD for sale at the RBS Mardi Gras dance.

The Reno Blues Society, founded in 1993, is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the history and significance of blues music through events and education.
