(ALLENTOWN, PA) – On Saturday, June 8, 2019 over 20,000 Blues enthusiasts gather in downtown Allentown each year for the 12th annual Blues, Brews & Barbecue festival. From 12 Noon to 10 pm enjoy great brews and BBQ, a variety of craft vendors and of course, rockin’ blues music all day long. Spanning six stages of free music, the festival will stretch from 9th & Hamilton Streets down to 5th Street.
Headlining the main stage will be Brandon “Taz” Neiderauer, the 16-year-old wunderkind guitarist who starred on Broadway in “School of Rock,” and who since has shared the stage with some of rock’s biggest acts. Co-headlining will be Vanessa Collier, a 27-year-old singer and sax player who in the past three years has been nominated for five Blues Music Awards, and who this year won for Best Instrumental-Horn. Also on the bill is 24-year-old King Solomon Hicks, a singer and guitarist from Harlem in New York. In all, the fest will present a record 23 performances on six stages over 10 hours. There also will be 47 food vendors and about 50 artists and non-food vendors, and four alcohol “tents” that will offer 21 selections of beer as well as wine and spirits. There also will be a larger offering of activities for families and children.
