(CLARKSDALE, MS) – Throughout August Blue Star Families receive free admission: as part of the Blue Star Museum program and available to active duty military and their family members through Labor Day Sept 3rd.
Here’s what’s happening at the Museum…
– August 10th – 12th – 31st Annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival: Live music on the Delta Blues Museum stage starting at 6pm.
– August 12th – Special Museum hours: Open noon – 5PM
– August 20th – Movie Night at the Museum: The Blues Brothers featuring an appearance by John Lee Hooker. Free and open to the public; BYO chairs/blankets; screening begins at 7:45P
– August 22nd – John Lee Hooker birthday celebration at Delta Blues Museum: Free and open to the public; cupcakes while supplies last, sponsored by Walmart
– August 30th – Teacher Night at Delta Blues Museum: Special educational tours for teachers from Coahoma County and surrounding areas; from 4:30P – 6:30P
