Bentonia, Yazoo County, Mississippi – Bentonia Blues Festival

The 2014 Bentonia Blues Festival is just around the corner.  This authentic country blues festival will be held on June 21 and has moved back into the town of Bentonia at the Blue Front Cafe. The festival will feature arts & crafts, food vendors, and live music from 9 a.m. til 9 p.m.  Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, the owner of the Blue Front Cafe and the last remaining performer of the unique and haunting Bentonia style of blues, will perform, as well as many others.

Come to Yazoo County a couple of days early to catch the related events on June 19th and 20th at the Blue Front Cafe.  Thursday, June 19th, Mr. Holmes will host an Open Mic night inside the Blue Front Cafe, and on Friday, June 20th, the Yazoo County CVB will team up with Mr. Holmes with free food, live music, and a great night of fun, also at the Blue Front Cafe.
