(LANSING, MI) – More local organizations are trying to help those in need this Thanksgiving including the Capital Area Blues Society.
Sunday [Nov 18] was the annual fundraiser put on by the group, along with the Greater Lansing Food Bank.
Four local bands performed at the event. To see the bands, people were asked to bring a $10 donation and a food item to be donated to the food bank.
Denise Lynch from the Capital Area Blues Society told News 10 why they hold the event.
“It was recognized that there was a need in the community and it has not really stopped through the years, so it’s a worthy cause that we continue on with every year.”
The Blues Society supports blues, music, and promotes education.
