(SAN DIEGO, CA) – The 19th Annual Gator By The Bay, the largest and most-authentic Louisiana-themed music, food, and dance festival on this side of the bayou, returns to Spanish Landing Park, May 7-10, 2020. From Louisiana Cajun and Zydeco bands, to internationally renowned blues, swing and boogie-woogie artists, to award winning rockabilly, roots and Latin performers, there’s something for every music fan with over 100 live performances throughout the weekend.
Check off every box on your bayou-inspired culinary bucket list and immerse yourself in authentic Cajun, Creole and Southern culinary delights, including gumbo, jambalaya, beignets, and a whopping 10,000 pounds of crawfish brought directly from Louisiana.
Seven wooden dance floors, including two 3,000 square foot shaded floors, set the scene for countless happy moments and endless fun for dancers of all levels. Free dance lessons take place throughout the festival.
Gator By The Bay is open to all ages and is an ideal setting for children to enjoy the music, color, spirit, and activities of the weekend celebration. Special family-friendly activities include the costumed Mardi Gras parades, outrageous hat-making with the Rad Hatter and colorful face painting.
