(Roanoke, VA) – To celebrate their 85th Anniversary, the Grandin Theatre (1310 Grandin Road S.W., Roanoke, West Virginia) is throwing a big party and you’re invited! Join them as they unveil two permanent exhibits that showcase two bygone eras from the Grandin’s long and storied past! The party starts at 7pm and tickets are $85.
From 1976-83 the Mill Mountain Playhouse occupied the Grandin and produced 30+ full length productions! Over a 13-month period in 1984-85, over 20 international music stars played the Grandin, including John Prine, Dave Brubeck, Buddy Rich, Tammy Wynette, Bobby Bland, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, and Ray Charles.
This night will be magical, and they want you to share in the magic! They’ll have delicious food and beverages from Blue Ridge Catering, a red-carpet runway for photographs with a professional photographer, a new documentary on the history of the Grandin, tours of the building, and much more! Dress for the event is fantastically fun-formal! If you want to dress up like your favorite star of the silver screen, please do! Seriously, have fun with it!
