(LANCASTER PA) – Lancaster
Roots and Blues is a three-day music and arts festival in downtown Lancaster
Pennsylvania on February 22, 23 and 24, 2019. The 2019 festival will be the 6th
year for Lancaster Roots and Blues.
Lancaster Roots and Blues features a combination of musical artists
representing a wide array of genres including Blues, Celtic, Bluegrass,
Americana, Rock n’ Roll, Jazz, Funk and Soul, Reggae and so much more on
multiple stages at a variety of great venues, all within walking distance of
each other. New for 2019 we will see the inclusion of the rich and
dynamic arts scene here in Lancaster. Lancaster Roots and Blues is always a
super fun time and a true music lover’s paradise and now there will be even
more to see and do while visiting the festival.
Lancaster Roots and Blues is adding more shows on Saturday and Sunday
afternoons to accommodate the continuing growth of the festival. In addition to
the music and art people attend the festival to stroll the downtown Lancaster downtown
area to enjoy the ambiance of the pre-Revolutionary War architecture, the
oldest continuously operating market in the U.S. and our many great
restaurants.
While many national level artists grace our stages, significantly the local music scene has blossomed into one of the most vibrant in the country and will be represented well on this late winter weekend.
Some of the featured musical artists at the 2019 Lancaster Roots and Blues include soul music of The War & Treaty and from New Orleans comes funk master Jon Cleary. 15-year old wonderkid Brandon “Taz” Neiderauer will bring his electrifying guitar playing to the main stage and west coast boogie-woogie piano player Mitch Woods will be playing two shows. Detroit’s Queen of the Blues will grace our town and NYC is represented by Garland Jeffreys. Chicago sends us the blues with the Linsey Alexander Band. There are so many more bands appearing and you can learn about them all at website, lancasterrootsandblues.com
