(BRIDGEVIEW, IL) – The Windy City Blues Fest is October 5th in SeatGeek Stadium (formerly Toyota Park), in Bridgeview, Illinois. Bridgeview is a southwest suburb of Chicago and the Stadium is at 77th and Harlem Ave. This is the second year for the festival but the first year at SeatGeek Stadium. The gates open at Noon and goes till 10:30 pm.

The festival is one day and the line-up is stacked with big name blues talent. The headliner is 2019 Grammy nominee Robert Randolph and the Family Band. The line-up includes 2019 BMA Winner for Female Soul Blues singer of the year, Annika Chambers. 2019 Blues Blast Award winners for Traditional Blues CD of the year Bob Corritore and friends including Tail Dragger, Oscar Wilson and Willie Buck. 2019 Blues Blast Award winner for Contemporary Blues CD of the year Brandon Santini as Tennessee Redemption with Jeff Jensen.  Robert Kimbrough and the Blues Connection is bringing up the delta soul patch blues to give Chicago some of what it needs.

The main stage starts off with the singing of the National Anthem sung by a brilliant college freshman. Axe and the Hatchetmen, a fantastic youth act, start off the main stage with a high-powered set. Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners is up next. Kevin was a finalist in the 2013 IBC’s and a local favorite.

The Chicago Blues Challenge makes up the second stage with 7 bands and 2 solo/duet acts competing to represent Chicago & The Windy City Blues Society in the 2020 IBC’s in Memphis

The Hampton Inn and Suites is the preferred hotel and it is on the grounds with the stadium.
