Cincy Blues Challenge

(CINCINNATI, OH) – This Sunday June is the return of the Cincy Blues Challenge, the largest showcase of the year for Blues artists from across the Greater Cincinnati area (as well as a few from other parts of Ohio). The music runs from 1pm-8:15pm at Germania Park on West Kemper Road between Route 27 and Route 127. Admission is $15.

Now in its 21st year, the Blues Challenge is the precursor to the long-running summertime Cincy Blues Fest, which will be held this year on July 13  at the Schmidlapp Event Lawn near Smale Park along the riverfront. Winners from the competition (in the band and solo/duo categories) earn slots at the Blues Fest and will also head to Memphis, Tennessee early next year to compete in the name of the Cincinnati Blues Society at the International Blues Challenge. Winners will be announced Sunday at 8:15pm.
