Land of Enchantment Blues Festival(BERNALILLO, NM) – New Mexico Jazz Workshop, in partnership with Ultra Health, announces the upcoming Land of Enchantment Blues Festival – an exciting two-day event that will showcase the very best blues musicians from New Mexico and from top blues centers across the nation on September 29th and 30th.

“Our goal at New Mexico Jazz Workshop is to produce an unparalleled event, showcasing New Mexico’s finest blues musicians, as well as musicians from the top blues centers in the world, including Chicago, New Orleans and Memphis,” said Chris Cordova, Interim Director for New Mexico Jazz Workshop. “This year’s lineup is packed full of amazing talent, and we’re looking forward to celebrating music and musicians, and to growing this iconic community event each year.”

Taking place at Loretto Park in Bernalillo, the two-day festival will kick off at noon on Saturday, September 29th, with doors opening at 11am. The show will open with a two-hour blues jam featuring over 20 of New Mexico’s best blues musicians, followed by The Plateros (featuring Levi Platero), Mem Shannon (with a local back-up band), and John Németh.

On Sunday, September 30th, the festival continues at 1pm with doors opening at noon. Sunday’s show features Santa Fe’s Blues Revue Band, Billy D & the HooDoos, Joanna Connor (with a local back-up band), and Hillary Smith/Chill House.

“This is an exciting event for all music lovers in the area,” added Cordova. “The Land of Enchantment Blues Festival is the perfect opportunity to experience the best blues musicians all in one setting, with two days of spectacular performances – all right here in New Mexico. We encourage everyone to come out, immerse yourself in the festival experience, and enjoy two days full of incredible music, fun, food and drinks.”

Along with a star-packed lineup, the festival will feature food trucks, local beer and wine, arts and crafts, and fun for the entire family.

Advance tickets are $20 ($15 for New Mexico Jazz Workshop members), and day-of tickets are $25 ($20 for New Mexico Jazz Workshop members). Two-day passes are available for $35 in advance and $40 at the door ($30 for New Mexico Jazz Workshop members). Admission for children 12 and under is free.

The event is sponsored by New Mexico Jazz Workshop, Ultra Health, The Town of Bernalillo, Kaktus Brewery, KUNM, KSFR, Comcast Spotlight, and Oasis Radio.
