DURBANVILLE, SOUTH AFRICA – Kick off 2016 with a proper outdoor shindig! This outdoor festival celebrates the much-loved blues genre in the heart of the Cape Winelands. The sixth Little Known Blues Fest comes to the Hillcrest Quarry in Durbanville on Saturday, 9 January 2016.
The aim of the event is to give lesser-known bands a platform to shine while fans get to see some raw talent and enjoy the tunes with a fun day out.
Take a few friends, a picnic basket and bring some camping chairs to have a wild time in the sunshine. If you’re feeling like some nibbles or an ice-cold pint, there’s a fully stocked bar and food stalls on site. No alcohol can be brought onto the premises. Children are welcome, but have to be supervised.
The lineup includes: Steel Junkies, Urban Blues, Blueorcracy, Bluz Cruz, Borderline, Bluesboy, Blue Jets, Crimson House. Doors open at 1pm.
