Southern Indiana Blues Festival Aug 26-28 in Bean Blossom


(BEAN BLOSSOM, IN) – Blues fans, family and friends have been gathering at Bill Monroe Music Park and Campground in Bean Blossom, Indiana since 1999 to celebrate the music and culture of the blues. This year there will be 2 full stages of live blues on Friday and Saturday plus the largest blues jam ever will be held on the Hippy Hill stage Thursday night, August 26th 7-10pm.
 
Friday and Saturday, Aug 27-28, gates open daily at 10am and music begins at Noon. The weekend headliners are Eric Gales, Mike Zito, Joanna Connor, Albert Castiglia, John Németh, Corey Harris & Phil Wiggins, Damon Fowler with special guest Jason Ricci, and Kat Riggins.
 
Bill Monroe Music Park is known for late night jams around the campground, and this epic blues weekend won’t disappoint! The weekend kicks off Thursday with an all-star Blues Jam on the Hippy Hill stage with the “Bloomington Blues Group House Rockers” playing at 7pm and the jam opening up at 8pm. Bring your instruments and sign up at the stage.

The festival is all-ages, the park is pet-friendly, and there’s plenty of free parking. You can bring lawn chairs and coolers. Weekend and daily tickets are available online or at the gate. There are no refunds and acts are subject to change without notice.
