GREENVILLE, MS – Chris Stapleton, Nashville’s favorite singer songwriter, will headline the Mighty Mississippi Music Festival on Oct. 2-4 in Greenville, Mississippi.

Stapleton’s career spans 15 years, as he’s written songs for country music stars from Luke Bryan to George Strait. Five of the songs he’s penned have become No. 1 hits. His debut solo album, Traveler debuted at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Country Albums Chart. He’s also been nominated for three Grammy Awards and won the International Bluegrass Music Association Emerging Artist of the Year award as a member of The SteelDrivers.

Stapleton joins a heady mix of musicians set to perform at the festival named the No. 1 New Festival in American by American Blues Scene.

The Grammy-award winning Old Crow Medicine Show, a Grand Ole Opry inductee, is the festival’s other headline act. Hosted by the Steve Azar and Jason Fratesi, the main stage lineup includes Band of Heathens, Amanda Shires, Kudzu Kings, Bronwynne Brent Trio, Cedric Burnside, Cutty Rye, Good Paper of Rev. Rob Mortimer, Goofy Boots, Ron Etheridge & the Damn Shames.

The music continues all weekend – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – on both the main stage and the Highway 61 Blues Stage.

The blues stage, a Mighty Mississippi mainstay, will feature Bill Abel, Cadillac John Nolden & Bill Abel, Daniel Eriksen, Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers, Jamie Isonhood, Jimmy “Duck” Holmes, Jimmy Phillips & the Ruminators, Kairos Blues & Gospel Band, Kern Pratt & the Accused, L.C. Ulmer, Leo “Bud” Welch, Libby Rae Watson Mickey, Rogers & the Soulmasters, Pat Thomas, Super Chikan & the Fighting Cocks, Terry “Harmonica” Bean, The Bernard Jenkins Band, The Cedric Burnside Project and The John Horton Band.

Food vendors from across the Mississippi Delta will be on site cooking everything from award-winning barbecue to bratwurst.  Arts and crafts and merchandise vendors will be set up in the Delta Village for unique souvenirs and gifts.

While RV campsites at Warfield Point Park are sold out, many tent camping spots are available.

Tent campsites at Warfield and the offsite sites at the convention center may be reserved online www.mightymsmusic.com.

For additional convenience, tents and camping gear can be purchased online and picked up at the Festival’s General Store at Warfield Point Park.
