(Memphis, TN) – The Blues Foundation has planned something for everyone – from panels to workshops to film to master classes to artifact unveilings, to jams and showcases, and of course the nightly challenge performances in more than 20 clubs along Beale Street. You can still purchase passes to come to Memphis for the IBC week January 16 – 20, 2018.
As part of IBC week, the Blues Foundation (BF) will celebrate the 2018 Keeping the Blues Alive Award recipients. You can join them at the KBA luncheon on Friday, January 19th at 11 am at the Doubletree hotel. “In addition to chicken and waffles,” says Barbara Newman of the BF, “we will be serving up one of our feel-good events of the year as we celebrate 12 individuals and organizations that are working tirelessly behind the scenes on behalf of this genre we all love so well.” This event is open to the public with the purchase of a KBA upgrade ticket for just $50.
Online ticket sales will close Friday, January 12. They are no longer mailing tickets. Passes purchased online will be available at Will Call. Check the website for times and locations.
