LANCASTER, PA – Starting Friday, February 6 2015 in Lancaster Pennsylvania and continuing Saturday, February 7, the annual Lancaster Roots And Blues, a Festival of Music will feature artists from around the USA and beyond.
The nature of roots and blues music is it is transcendent, timeless and performed with soul. It is the root of great American music. Here at Lancaster Roots and Blues, A Festival of Music we rejoice in the broad array of artists coming to our town. For sure this festival is for the music fanatic. Lot’s to see, hear and do. It is also designed for the person who just doesn’t seem to have the time anymore to keep up with all the great music coming out.
You don’t have to follow the music scene to enjoy this festival. With 10 stages and a huge variety of talent featuring musicians who are masters of their craft, you are sure to find something you will remember for the rest of your life.
There will be over 50 artists at 8 venues, with 10 stages all within a few blocks of each other. The entire City of Lancaster is a National Historic District and the only city in the U.S. with that designation. It is a spectacular walking city with great bars and restaurants and features a vibrant arts and music scene. Visit our many art galleries, museums, and antiques and crafts shops.
The venues include: the world-class performing arts stage at The Ware Center in Steinman Hall and also The Grand Salon; at Lancaster’s beautiful Convention Center at the Marriott where we’ll be on the Robert Johnson stage and the intimate Thaddeus Stevens Stage; at Lancaster’s newest performing arts venue and bar, Tellus 360 on both stages; the venerable Chameleon Club on the main stage; Lancaster’s newest craft beer hall, The Federal Taphouse; and new for this year is the intimate Lancaster Dispensing Company, and the beautiful The Trust Performing Arts Center and also the historic Elks Lodge
All of the venues are within short walking distance of each other and there will also be a bus traveling from venue to venue both evenings.
